Brooks to Host Property Tax and Rent Rebate Clinics in Mercer County

MERCER – Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) announced that her office will host three Property Tax and Rent Rebate Clinics across Mercer County to help eligible residents apply for the state’s rebate program.

These clinics are part of Brooks’ ongoing efforts to make state programs more accessible to seniors, individuals with disabilities and widows and widowers in the 50th Senatorial District.

“Many residents qualify for this important financial relief, but the paperwork can sometimes be overwhelming,” Brooks said. “These clinics are a way to bring government services directly to our communities, helping people apply in person and get the assistance they need.”

The Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program is available to individuals who are 65 years of age or older, widows and widowers who are 50 years of age or older, and individuals with disabilities who are 18 years of age or older. To qualify, applicants must also have a household income of $46,520 or less in 2024.

When attending a clinic, applicants should bring proof of all 2024 income. Homeowners must also bring their 2024 paid property tax receipts, while renters should bring a completed rent certificate.

The clinics will be held at the following times and locations:

  • Friday, April 25, from 9:30 a.m. – Noon
Community Room, West Middlesex Municipal Building
